Hillbilly Elegy is now available to stream online on Netflix.

The film, which is based on the bestselling memoir of the same name by J.D. Vance, follows a Yale Law student who returns to his Ohio hometown after receiving an urgent phone call.

The film stars Amy Adams as Vance's mother, Glenn Close as his grandmother, and Gabriel Basso as Vance himself.

Netflix acquired the film's distribution rights in January 2019, before it had even begun filming.
