The August 12th episode of AEW Rampage drew a record low 473,000 viewers, according to Showbuzz Daily. This is the lowest viewership ever for the show, which debuted in August 2021. Rampage also tied its lowest 18-49 demo rating with a 0.13.
Dave Meltzer on Steve McMichael's Pro Football Hall of Fame Chances
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently discussed Steve McMichael's chances of being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. McMichael was a two-time Super Bowl champion with the Chicago Bears and is widely considered one of the greatest defensive tackles of all time. However, he has never been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Tony Khan Announces Third Forbidden Door Event
AEW President Tony Khan has announced that there will be a third Forbidden Door event. The first Forbidden Door event was held in June 2022 and featured matches between AEW and New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) wrestlers. The second Forbidden Door event is scheduled for July 23rd, 2023.
Steve McMichael's Health Steadily Improving
Steve McMichael's health is steadily improving, according to his wife. McMichael was diagnosed with ALS in 2021 and has been undergoing treatment since then. His wife said that he is currently able to walk with assistance and is working on regaining his speech.
